Set up your business in Fatoora

Last updated: July 2026

Spend two minutes on your company profile and every document you create afterwards — invoices, credit notes, reports — comes out correct and FTA-ready.

1. Complete your company profile

Open Settings and fill in your business details. These flow onto every invoice and report:

  • Business name (as registered) and trade licence, if you have one
  • TRN — only if you are registered for VAT
  • Address and emirate
  • Email and phone your clients can reach you on
  • Bank details, so clients can pay you by transfer

2. Add your logo

Upload a logo in Settings. It appears on your invoices and the shareable PDF, so your documents look professional and branded. A square or wide PNG works best.

3. Set your currency and defaults

Fatoora uses AED by default. You can still invoice clients in other currencies — Fatoora converts amounts to AED for your VAT and reporting so your books stay consistent.

You're ready

That's the setup. Next, create your first invoice — it takes about a minute and you can send it straight to your client by WhatsApp or email.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a TRN to use Fatoora?+

No. You can invoice without a TRN. If you are VAT-registered, add your TRN so it appears on invoices and your VAT is tracked correctly.

Can I change my company details later?+

Yes. Update them anytime in Settings — changes apply to new documents. Already-issued invoices keep the details they were created with.
